Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Reduced-order modeling for Ablowitz–Ladik equation
In this paper, reduced-order models (ROMs) are constructed for the Ablowitz-Ladik equation (ALE), an integrable semi-discretization of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) with and without damping. Both ALEs are non-canonical conservative and dissipative Hamiltonian systems with the Poisson matrix depending quadratically on the state variables ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Model Reduction of LPV Control with Bounded Parameter Variation Rates [PDF]
This paper proposes a reduced-order controller of linear parameter varying systems. The parameters are available for measurement while their ranges and rates of variation are assumed to be bounded.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

A reduced order model to assist welding parameter setup
This article demonstrates the time saving in industrial process setup using numerical reduced order modelling (ROM). The numerical simulations may supply useful information to design manufacturing processes but are often time consuming and then not ...

Reduced Order Modeling and Sliding Mode Control of Active Magnetic Bearing
Due to the accelerated growth in the field of power electronics and controller design techniques, the usage of the active magnetic bearing has picked up in industries. Active magnetic bearing helps the rotor to rotate freely without any physical contact.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
