Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

EFFICIENCY OF REDUNDANT SYSTEM THROUGH CONFIGURATION SUPERVISORS

open access: yesНадежность и качество сложных систем, 2022
Background. The path to the creation of highly reliable equipment, each separate part of which, due to several factors, has limited reliability, is to develop reconfigurable systems with an excessive number of heterogeneous components. The objective of

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Numbers on Thematic Maps: Helpful Simplicity or Too Raw to Be Useful for Map Reading?

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2020
As the development of small-scale thematic cartography continues, there is a growing interest in simple graphic solutions, e.g., in the form of numerical values presented on maps to replace or complement well-established quantitative cartographic methods

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

The evaluation of redundancy for road traffic networks

open access: yesTransport, 2016
This paper presents two redundancy indices for road traffic network junctions and also an aggregated network redundancy index. The proposed redundancy indices could be implemented to identify optimal design alternatives during the planning stage of the ...

Universal quantization of parametric sources has redundancy k/2 (log n)/n [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Rissanen has shown that there exist universal noiseless codes for {Xi} with per-letter rate redundancy as low as k/2 (log n)/n, where n is the blocklength and k is the number of source parameters. We derive an analogous result for universal quantization:

Quantum Darwinism in quantum Brownian motion: the vacuum as a witness [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We study quantum Darwinism -- the redundant recording of information about a decohering system by its environment -- in zero-temperature quantum Brownian motion.

Combinatorial redundancy detection [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Operations Research, 2016
The problem of detecting and removing redundant constraints is fundamental in optimization. We focus on the case of linear programs (LPs) in dictionary form, given by $n$ equality constraints in $n+d$ variables, where the variables are constrained to be nonnegative.
