Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

A collision-free trajectory planning method for redundant manipulator spraying for inner surface of pipe

open access: yes, 2013
Obstacle avoidance is an important content in the research of redundant manipulator. To automate spraying for inner surface in a complex curved pipe, its a challenge to plan collision-free trajectory for the manipulator. A hybrid planning algorithm based

The kinematics of the redundant $N-1$ wire driven parallel robot [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We address the kinematics of the redundant $N-1$ wire-driven parallel robot, i.e. a robot with $N > 3$ wires connected at the same point on the platform. The redundancy allows one to increase the workspace size.

Motion Planning of Redundant Manipulator With Variable Joint Velocity Limit Based on Beetle Antennae Search Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Redundant manipulators play important roles in many industrial and service applications by assisting people fulfill heavy and repetitive jobs. However, redundant manipulators are coupled highly-nonlinear systems which exert difficulty of redundancy ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Collision-free inverse kinematics of the redundant seven-link manipulator used in a cucumber picking robot

open access: yes, 2010
The paper presents results of research on an inverse kinematics algorithm that has been used in a functional model of a cucumber-harvesting robot consisting of a redundant P6R manipulator.

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Stiffness Model of a 3-DOF Parallel Manipulator with Two Additional Legs

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2014
This paper investigates the stiffness modelling of a 3-DOF parallel manipulator with two additional legs. The stiffness model in six directions of the 3-DOF parallel manipulator with two additional legs is derived by performing condensation of DOFs for ...
