An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Forecast Combination and Bayesian Model Averaging - A Prior Sensitivity Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
In this study the forecast performance of model averaged forecasts is compared to that of alternative single models. Following Eklund and Karlsson (2007) we form posterior model probabilities - the weights for the combined forecast - based on the ...

A filtering method for infrared image based on improved pseudo median filtering and non-local means filtering

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2014
Firstly, pseudo median filtering algorithm was improved. Factors of gray value and geometric distance of pixels are integrated into noise detection process so as to separate noise from image pixels.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

The Reference Prior for Complex Covariance Matrices With Efficient Implementation Strategies

open access: yes, 2010
The paper derives the reference prior for complex covariance matrices. The reference prior is a noninformative prior that circumvents some of the weaknesses of common alternatives in multidimensional settings.

Optimization of supervised cluster analysis for extracting reference tissue input curves in (R)-[11C]PK11195 brain PET studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Performance of two supervised cluster analysis (SVCA) algorithms for extracting reference tissue curves was evaluated to improve quantification of dynamic (R)-[(11)C]PK11195 brain positron emission tomography (PET) studies.

Cued by What We See and Hear: Spatial Reference Frame Use in Language

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2018
To what extent is the choice of what to say driven by seemingly irrelevant cues in the visual world being described? Among such cues, how does prior description affect how we process spatial scenes?
