Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Super-resolution (SR) techniques enhance the spatial resolution of remote sensing images, supporting large-scale Earth observation. While single-image SR methods improve low-resolution (LR) inputs, they often ignore valuable information from auxiliary ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Why do investors sell losers? How adaptation to losses affects future capitulation decisions [PDF]
According to disposition effect theory, people hold losing investments too long. However, many investors eventually sell at a loss, and little is known about which psychological factors contribute to these capitulation decisions.

The provision of digital information in the seat comfort of the seat design [PDF]
A great number of factors affect the uncomfortable of seats. Apart from external appearance, the most important is the comfort for users in designing an un-adjustable seat.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

A Comparison of Empirical Bayes and Reference Prior Methods for Spatio-Temporal Data Analysis
In Bayesian analysis of spatio-temporal data, the problem of selecting prior distribution for model parameters is of great demand. This paper considers two most popular approaches, empirical Bayes and reference prior, for Bayesian inference.

The Weibull distribution has been widely used in survival and engineering reliability analysis. In life testing experiments is fairly common practice to terminate the experiment before all the items have failed, that means the data are censored.
