Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

On Independent Reference Priors
In Bayesian inference, the choice of prior has been of great interest. Subjective priors are ideal if sufficient information on priors is available. However, in practice, we cannot collect enough information on priors.

Reference priors for natural exponential families having a simple quadratic variance function
Reference analysis is one of the most successful general methods to derive noninformative prior distributions. In practice, however, reference priors are often difficult to obtain.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Default Priors and Predictive Performance in Bayesian Model Averaging, with Application to Growth Determinants [PDF]
Economic growth has been a showcase of model uncertainty, given the many competing theories and candidate regressors that have been proposed to explain growth.

In this paper, reference and probability-matching priors are derived for the univariate Student t-distribution. These priors generally lead to procedures with properties frequentists can relate to while still retaining Bayes validity.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Posterior propriety in Bayesian extreme value analyses using reference priors [PDF]
The Generalized Pareto (GP) and Generalized extreme value (GEV) distributions play an important role in extreme value analyses as models for threshold excesses and block maxima, respectively.

Hellinger distance and non-informative priors
This paper introduces an extension of the Jeffreys’ rule to the construction of objective priors for non-regular parametric families. A new class of priors based on Hellinger information is introduced as Hellinger priors.

Genome position specific priors for genomic prediction
Background The accuracy of genomic prediction is highly dependent on the size of the reference population. For small populations, including information from other populations could improve this accuracy.
