The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

IMAGE SEGMENTATION USING GAUSSIAN MIXTURE MODEL

open access: yesInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Production Research, 2008
Stochastic models such as mixture models, graphical models, Markov random fields and hidden Markov models have key role in probabilistic data analysis. In this paper, we have learned Gaussian mixture model to the pixels of an image. The parameters of the

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Bootstrap confidence intervals of process capability indices Cpy and CNpmk using different methods of estimation for Frechet distribution

open access: yesFrontiers in Applied Mathematics and Statistics
Process capability analysis is the statistical evaluation of process capability to examine how well it meets or exceeds the customers satisfaction. In present work, we are intended to evaluate two critical metrics for process quality assessment, Cpy and ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Insurance Policies for Monetary Policy in the Euro Area [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper, we examine the cost of insurance against model uncertainty for the Euro area considering four alternative reference models, all of which are used for policy-analysis at the ECB.We find that maximal insurance across this model range in ...

Robust tightly coupled MLS–ALS fusion with 2D and 3D LiDAR using local geometric uncertainty for accurate 3D mapping

open access: yesScience of Remote Sensing
Accurate, high-resolution 3D maps are essential for applications such as forestry, infrastructure monitoring, and autonomous navigation. Airborne laser scanning (ALS) provides large-scale coverage but suffers from canopy occlusions, whereas mobile laser ...

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Semantic-centric change detection framework: considering spatiotemporal heterogeneity and spatiotemporal correlation of land cover

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Earth
The semantic change detection (SCD) task aims to detect ‘from-to’ change types of land cover occurring over time in registered bitemporal remote sensing images.
