Reflex inhibition of monosynaptic reflexes by stimulation of type J pulmonary endings [PDF]
1. Monosynaptic reflexes, evoked from flexor and extensor hind limb muscle nerves in cats anaesthetized with pentobarbitone sodium, were depressed for several seconds after right intra‐atrial injection of phenyl diguanide. Injection of the drug close to the aortic valves did not produce the same effect on the reflex.

Time Window of Perturbation-Induced Response Triggered by Ankle Motion and Body Sway above the Ankle
We determined the precise time windows of the electromyographic (EMG) response components triggered by ankle motion and by body sway above the ankle. A support surface under the feet of healthy young adult participants in the quiet stance was moved in ...

Sensory gating of an embryonic zebrafish interneuron during spontaneous motor behaviors
In all but the simplest monosynaptic reflex arcs, sensory stimuli are encoded by sensory neurons that transmit a signal via sensory interneurons to downstream partners in order to elicit a response.

REGULATION OF THE BIDIRECTIONAL TRANSPORT OF ORGANELLES DURING SYNAPSE FORMATION, MAINTENANCE, AND PLASTICITY [PDF]
Neurons are specialized, polarized cells necessary for our function, cognition, and behavior. Moreover, neurons are non-mitotic cells and must be maintained for a lifetime.
