Diode-pumped Nd:YLF regenerative amplifier

A diode-pumped Nd:YLF regenerative amplifier operating at 1047 nm produces 88-microJ, 11-ps pulses at a 1-kHz repetition frequency. Switching of the 250-MHz seed pulses with a Pockels cell in the half-wave configuration is achieved with a contrast ratio of 20:1.

Wavelength tunable alexandrite regenerative amplifier

We describe a wavelength tunable alexandrite regenerative amplifier which is used to amplify nanosecond slices from a single-frequency cw dye laser or 50-ps pulses emitted by a diode laser to energies in the 10-mJ range. The amplified 5-ns slices generated by the cw-pumped line narrowed dye laser are Fourier transform limited.

Regenerative amplifier with pulse-on-demand

A picosecond regenerative amplifier with pulse on demand operation is demonstrated. The pulse energy is held constant for arbitrary pulse separation by employing an intracavity loss modulator. ND : YAG regenerative amplifier

The Nd : YAG regenerative amplifier produces short-duration, optical pulses with the stability and pulse width range characteristic of actively mode-locked lasers and the pulse energy characteristic of passively mode-locked lasers. Other important properties, including large amplification and optical pulse storage, have also been achieved.

We have been investigating the possibility of ultimate down sizing of the CPA system by improving over all efficiency to convert the green pump energy to the Ti:sapphire wavelength by optimizing the regenerative amplifier. A regenerative amplifier with high gain to achieve small signal and saturated amplification was constructed.

Femtosecond Yb:CALGO regenerative amplifier

This study reports the first diode-pumped Yb:CALGO regenerative amplifier. It generates pulses at 1050 nm with up-to-240-μJ energy (before compression), with pulse duration near 350-450 fs and with a 5 nm spectral bandwidth.

Nd:YLF mode-locked oscillator and regenerative amplifier

Pulses of 37-psec duration are generated by a cw actively mode-locked Nd:YLF oscillator and subsequently amplified to 2.5 mJ in a cw-pumped Nd:YLF regenerative amplifier operating at a repetition rate of 500 Hz. In comparison, the same system refitted with Nd:YAG gain media produces longer pulses (~80 psec) with lower energy (1 mJ).

High-power regenerative Nc:phosphate glass amplifier

A compact high-power regenerative Nd:phosphate glass amplifier is described which incorporates spatial filtering and full image relay techniques. Output energies up to 1.2 J at a pulse duration of 140 ± 10 psec (FWHM) and 3 J at 900 ± 70 psec (FWHM) are achieved in a smooth nearly flattop beam intensity profile.
