CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

12-mJ 1-kHz cryogenically cooled rod Yb:YAG regenerative amplifier

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics
We report on a continuous-wave (CW) pumped cryogenically cooled rod Yb:YAG regenerative amplifier delivering uncompressed 12-mJ, 90-ps, 1030-nm pulses at a 1-kHz repetition rate. The amplifier demonstrates an efficiency of 31.7%.

Memory device for two-dimensional radiant energy array computers [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
A memory device for two dimensional radiant energy array computers was developed, in which the memory device stores digital information in an input array of radiant energy digital signals that are characterized by ordered rows and columns.

Noise auto-correlation spectroscopy with coherent Raman scattering

open access: yes, 2007
Ultrafast lasers have become one of the most powerful tools in coherent nonlinear optical spectroscopy. Short pulses enable direct observation of fast molecular dynamics, whereas broad spectral bandwidth offers ways of controlling nonlinear optical ...

Global design of analog cells using statistical optimization techniques [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
We present a methodology for automated sizing of analog cells using statistical optimization in a simulation based approach. This methodology enables us to design complex analog cells from scratch within reasonable CPU time. Three different specification

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Development of high-energy fiber CPA system

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
An intense broadband laser system based on a Nd:glass chirped pulse amplifier (CPA) requires a stable front end with good beam quality. To prepare such a front end without using a regenerative amplifier or optical parametric chirped pulse amplification ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

A 0.35 μm CMOS 17-bit@40-kS/s cascade 2-1 ΣΔ modulator with programmable gain and programmable chopper stabilization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This paper describes a 0.35μm CMOS chopper-stabilized Switched-Capacitor 2-1 cascade ΣDelta; modulator for automotive sensor interfaces. For a better fitting to the characteristics of different sensor outputs, the modulator includes a programmable set of

Ultrafast high power Yb:KLuW regenerative amplifier

open access: yesOptics Express, 2009
We report on an high power ultra-short pulse regenerative Yb:KLuW amplifier based on the thin disk concept. A maximum pulse energy of 571 microJ was extracted at a repetition rate of 20 kHz. Compression of the output pulses resulted in a pulse duration of 197 fs assuming a deconvolution factor of 2.16.
