A Representation of Ring Homomorphisms on Unital Regular Commutative Banach Algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We give a complete representation of a ring homomorphism from a unital semisimple regular commutative Banach algebra into a unital semisimple commutative Banach algebra, which need not be regular.

NEW FUNDAMENTAL RELATIONS IN HYPERRINGS AND THE CORRESPONDING QUOTIENT STRUCTURES [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Algebraic Systems
‎‎In this article‎, ‎we introduce and analyze the smallest‎ ‎equivalence binary relation $\chi ^{*}$ on a hyperring $R$ such‎ that the quotient $R/\chi ^{*}$‎, ‎the set of all equivalence‎ ‎classes‎, ‎is a commutative ring with identity and of ...

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

THE CLEANNESS OF THE SUBRINGS OF M_2 (Z_P)

open access: yesBarekeng
Let  be a ring. Ring  is said to be a clean ring if every element of R can be expressed as the sum of a unit and an idempotent element. Furthermore, there are r-clean rings. An r-clean ring is a generalization of a clean ring.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Rings decomposed into direct sums of J-rings and nil rings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1985
Let R be a ring (not necessarily with identity) and let E denote the set of idempotents of R. We prove that R is a direct sum of a J-ring (every element is a power of itself) and a nil ring if and only if R is strongly π-regular and E is contained in ...

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

A Minimal Regular Ring Extension of C(X) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Let G(X) denote the smallest (von Neumann) regular ring of real-valued functions with domain X that contains C(X), the ring of continuous real-valued functions on a Tikhonov topological space (X,Τ). We investigate when G(X) coincides with the ring C(X,Τδ)

On the Structures of Abelian π-Regular Rings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2014
Assume that R is an Abelian ring. In this paper, we characterize the structure of R whenever R is π-regular. It is also proved that an Abelian π-regular ring is isomorphic to the subdirect sum of some metadivision rings.
