REGULATORY ADAPTIVE STATUS IN DETERMING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ZOFENOPRIL AND LISINOPRIL IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC HEART FAILURE WITH PRESERVED LEFT VENTRICULAR EJECTION FRACTION

open access: yesMedical Journal of the Russian Federation, 2018
Goal. Сompare the effectiveness of combination therapy with zofenopril and lisinopril in patients with preserved ejection fraction (CHFpEF) of the left ventricle (LV) in the presence of hypertension disease (HD), considering its impact on the regulatory adaptive status (RAS). Material and methods. 69 patients with CHFpEF in the presence of HD III stage

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Periodontitis pain symdrome influence on regulatiry-adaptive capacity of human organisms

open access: yesКубанский научный медицинский вестник, 2014
30 patients with periodontitis have been involved in identification of index of regulatory-adaptive capacity status prior to treatment and after it, and from it they have determined regulatory-adaptive capacity of organisms.

Clinical value of the major types of reactions of the body’s stress-regulating systems in ischemic stroke

open access: yesНеврология, нейропсихиатрия, психосоматика, 2013
The time course of changes in the parameters reflecting the status of different components of the body’s regulatory systems was studied in 125patients with hemispheric ischemic stroke via comprehensive evaluation of the hypothalamo-pituitary axes and ...

Associations of innate and adaptive immune cell subsets with incident type 2 diabetes risk: the MESA study.

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, 2020
OBJECTIVE Cell-mediated immunity is implicated in glucose homeostasis and insulin resistance. Whether the levels of innate and adaptive immune cells in peripheral blood are risk factors for incident type 2 diabetes (T2D) remains unknown.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
