Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Clinical value of the major types of reactions of the body’s stress-regulating systems in ischemic stroke

open access: yesНеврология, нейропсихиатрия, психосоматика, 2013
The time course of changes in the parameters reflecting the status of different components of the body’s regulatory systems was studied in 125patients with hemispheric ischemic stroke via comprehensive evaluation of the hypothalamo-pituitary axes and ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Evaluation of stress resistance among young men after autogenous training

open access: yesКубанский научный медицинский вестник, 2014
At 60 students - two weeks prior to the first final employment and before the first final employment carried out test of cardiorespiratory synchronism. On dynamics of the regulation-adaptive status determined a level stress resistance.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

REGULATORY-ADAPTIVE POSSIBILITIES OF THE ORGANISM IN DIFFERENT FORMS OF CHRONIC PERIODONTITIS IN ACUTE

open access: yesКубанский научный медицинский вестник, 2016
48 patients with various forms of chronic periodontitis before and after treatment were carried out sample cardiorespiratory synchronism, the index was calculated regulatory-adaptive status, as it was determined by the regulatory-adaptive capabilities of

Advances in Dietary Restriction on the Regulation of Organismal Immune Function [PDF]

open access: yesZhongguo quanke yixue
Nutritional status may influence the immune response, and dietary restriction (DR) , as an important dietary intervention, has been shown to potentially play an important regulatory role in the activation and effector functioning of immune cells and is ...
