Regulation of T cell lymphokine production by killer cell inhibitory receptor recognition of self HLA class I alleles. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
The killer cell inhibitory receptors (KIRs) are surface glycoproteins expressed by natural killer (NK) and T cells that specifically recognize defined groups of polymorphic human histocompatibility leukocyte antigen (HLA) class I molecules.

MicroRNAs regulate T-cell production of interleukin-9 and identify hypoxia-inducible factor-2a as an important regulator of T helper 9 and regularoty T-cell differentiation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) regulate many aspects of helper T cell (Th) development and function. Here we found that they are required for the suppression of interleukin‐9 (IL‐9) expression in Th9 cells and other Th subsets. Two highly related miRNAs (miR‐15b and

Molecular cues govern follicular regulatory T cell differentiation

open access: yesDi-san junyi daxue xuebao, 2020
Follicular regulatory T (Tfr) cells are generated with the responses of germinal center (GC). However, the molecular mechanism on the cell generation is still unknown.

Novel and unscrutinized immune entities of the zebrafish gut

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Understudied cells of the zebrafish immune system include bona fide immune cells and epithelial (‐derived) cells with immune functions. Research focusing on zebrafish cells which demonstrate similarities to mammalian immune cell counterparts may help us understand the pathologies in which they are implicated. Currently available and advanced tools make

Distinct Role of IL-27 in Immature and LPS-Induced Mature Dendritic Cell-Mediated Development of CD4 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Interleukin-27 (IL-27) plays an important role in regulation of anti-inflammatory responses and autoimmunity; however, the molecular mechanisms of IL-27 in modulation of immune tolerance and autoimmunity have not been fully elucidated.

From lactation to malignancy: A comparison between healthy and cancerous breast gland at single‐cell resolution reveals new issues for tumorigenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Single‐cell RNA sequencing reveals an opposite role of SLPI in basal tumors based on metastatic spread, along with shared activation of specific regulons in cancer cells and mature luminal lactocytes, as well as downregulation of MALAT1 and NEAT1 in the latter.

The role of T regulatory lymphocytes in lymphoma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
T regulatory cells play a crucial role in immunological unresponsiveness to selfantigens and in suppressing excessive immune responses deleterious to the host.

Modulation of the CD8+-T-cell response by CD4+ CD25+ regulatory T cells in patients with Hepatitis B virus infection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
CD4+ CD25+ regulatory T cells have been shown to maintain peripheral tolerance against self and foreign antigens. In this study we analyzed the effect of circulating CD4+ CD25+ T cells on CD8+-T-cell responses of patients with chronic and resolved ...

Cancer cell death induced by the NAD antimetabolite Vacor discloses the antitumor potential of SARM1

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Vacor, a compound converted into the toxic metabolite Vacor adenine dinucleotide (VAD) by the nicotinamide salvage pathway enzymes NAMPT and NMNAT2, exhibits antitumor activity by inducing rapid and complete NAD depletion. We report that Vacor toxicity is limited to cell lines expressing high levels of SARM1, a NAD glycohydrolase.

Intravenous apoptotic spleen cell infusion induces a TGF-beta-dependent regulatory T-cell expansion.: Apoptosis and regulatory T cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
International audienceApoptotic leukocytes are endowed with immunomodulatory properties that can be used to enhance hematopoietic engraftment and prevent graft-versus-host disease (GvHD). This apoptotic cell-induced tolerogenic effect is mediated by host
