Pharmacodynamic monitoring by residual gene expression of the nuclear factor of activated T cell-regulated genes in lung transplant recipients and its correlation with tacrolimus blood levels

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
IntroductionTrough blood levels (C0) of tacrolimus are used to adjust drug dosage, but they do not consistently correlate with clinical outcomes. Measurement of residual gene expression of nuclear factor of activated T cell (NFAT)-regulated genes (NFAT ...

Tunicate‐Inspired Carboxymethyl Cellulose Hydrogel Filler for Treating Age‐Associated Vocal Fold Atrophy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The pyrogallol‐conjugated carboxymethylcellulose (CMC‐PG) hydrogel is applicated as a filler for the treatment of presbylaryngis, a vocal fold atrophy. CMC‐PG provides a bulking effect to the vocal folds. CMC‐PG is readily injectable and tissue adhesive, enabling sustained release of growth factor over long period.

Antibody-Mediated Rejection in Liver Transplantation: Immuno-Pathological Characteristics and Long-Term Follow-Up

open access: yesTransplant International
The diagnosis of liver antibody-mediated rejection (AMR) is challenging and likely under-recognized. The association of AMR with donor-specific antibodies (DSA), and its clinical course in relation to pathologic findings and treatment are ill defined. We
