THE EFFECT OF AUTOGENIC RELAXATION ON PAIN RELIEF IN HYPERTENSION PATIENTS: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

open access: yesNurse and Health
Background: Hypertension can be treated with non-pharmacological treatment. Comprehensive chronic pain treatment involves a combination of methods and therapies. Relaxation effectively reduces muscle tension, improves well-being, and reduces symptomatic

Ontology‐Aligned Structuring and Reuse of Multimodal Materials Data and Workflows Toward Automatic Reproduction

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Reproduction of stacking fault energy calculations from literature with a semi‐automated large language model‐assisted extraction procedure: extraction of simulation protocol, atomistic structures, computational parameters, and reported results, ontology alignment, knowledge graph construction and, finally, recomputation forvalidation.

Patients with borderline personality disorder show initially reduced psychophysiological relaxation levels but intact relaxation response

open access: yesComprehensive Psychiatry
Introduction: Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is associated with psychological as well as physiological dysregulation in patients, including reduced parasympathetic activity at baseline and difficulties returning to baseline after a stressor ...

Soft Mechanical‐Electrical Logic Using Liquid Metal‐Filled 3D‐Printed Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We present 3D‐printed soft mechanical–electrical logic elements that use liquid metal–filled silicone tubes actuated by thermoplastic polyurethane/polylactic acid (TPU/PLA) architectures to produce Boolean operations. Complementary normally open and normally closed unit cells perform repeatable binary transitions and can be combined into more complex ...

Experimental Characterization and Constitutive Modeling of the Effect of Prior Inelastic Strain on the Viscoplastic Behavior of AD730 at 700 °C

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

Progressive Relaxation: Abbreviated Methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In each of the previous editions of this volume, we began this chapter by noting that we live in a world full of tension and anxiety in which relaxation is a much-sought-after goal.

Influence of Geometric Design on Mechanical Performance of Auxetic Metastructure

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Strategic geometric reinforcement transforms auxetic performance. This study evaluates 3D‐printed arrowhead metastructures, revealing that a modified design with local ring reinforcement suppresses premature failure to achieve superior energy absorption and structural efficiency.

Combined relaxation method for decomposable variational inequalities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
An iterative method based on combining, modifying and generalizing different relaxation subgradient methods is proposed for solving variational inequality problems. For certain structured problems this method leads to a decomposition scheme.
