A Note on the Relevance of Semilattice Relevance Logic

open access: yesThe Australasian Journal of Logic, 2023
A propositional logic has the variable sharing property if φ →ψ is a theorem only if φ and ψ share some propositional variable(s). In this note, I prove that positive semilattice relevance logic (R+u) and its extension with an involution negation (R¬u) have the variable sharing property (as these systems are not subsystems of R, these results are not ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

In Vitro Evaluation of the Effectiveness and pH Variation of Dental Bleaching Gels and Their Effect on Enamel Surface Roughness

open access: yesDentistry Journal
Objectives: Potential adverse effects and pH-related effectiveness of bleaching agents have raised some concerns. The aim of this study was to compare three bleaching agents containing hydrogen peroxide (HP) and carbamide peroxide (CP) in terms of ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

VASIL SUKHOMLYNSKY’S SCHOOL AS AN AUTHOR’S PEDAGOGICAL SYSTEM

open access: yesEducation: Modern Discourses, 2018
The article presents the essential features of V. Sukhomlynsky’s school as an autho’s pedagogical system on the basis of holistic analysis. It is proved that the pedagogical system of the outstanding teacher in its essence and character belongs to ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Beyond inflammation: metabolic implications of biological and TsDMARD therapies in dermatologic and rheumatologic diseases

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
Biologic and targeted synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) have transformed the management of chronic inflammatory diseases. Yet their therapeutic impact extends beyond cytokine suppression, influencing systemic metabolic pathways ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Central obesity in psoriatic arthritis: associations with disease activity, function, and quality of life in a real-world cohort

open access: yesFrontiers in Medicine
ObjectiveThis study aimed to explore the association between central obesity and disease-specific activity, functional impairment, and patient-reported outcomes (PROMs) in a real-world cohort of individuals with psoriatic arthritis (PsA).MethodsWe ...
