Life Cycle Prediction Model of Safety Vent Based on Two-Phase Degradation Process

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
The safety vent, the most important failsafe device of lithium ion batteries, is made of a highductility and a corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy. Safety vents are designed to release the gas pressure in the battery shell before a catastrophic explosion ...

Is there a reliability challenge for logic? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
There are many domains about which we think we are reliable. When there is prima facie reason to believe that there is no satisfying explanation of our reliability about a domain given our background views about the world, this generates a challenge to ...

Reliability quality measures for recommender systems [PDF]

open access: yesInformation Sciences 442-443, 145-157 (2018)
Users want to know the reliability of the recommendations; they do not accept high predictions if there is no reliability evidence. Recommender systems should provide reliability values associated with the predictions. Research into reliability measures requires the existence of simple, plausible and universal reliability quality measures.

Making tau amyloid models in vitro: a crucial and underestimated challenge

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review highlights the challenges of producing in vitro amyloid assemblies of the tau protein. We review how accurately the existing protocols mimic tau deposits found in the brain of patients affected with tauopathies. We discuss the important properties that should be considered when forming amyloids and the benchmarks that should be used to ...

System Dynamic Behavior Modeling Based on Extended GO Methodology

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
The GO methodology, which is a success-oriented system analysis technique, is effective for evaluating the reliability of complex systems with multiple states and time-series. It is widely used in the domain of nuclear and ship industry.

Refining the NaV1.7 pharmacophore of a class of venom‐derived peptide inhibitors via a combination of in silico screening and rational engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Venom peptides have shown promise in treating pain. Our study uses computer screening to identify a peptide that targets a sodium channel (NaV1.7) linked to chronic pain. We produced the peptide in the laboratory and refined its design, advancing the search for innovative pain therapies.

A Heuristic Hybrid Optimization Approach for Spare Parts and Maintenance Workers Under Partial Pooling

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The joint planning of spare parts and maintenance workers in a multiple echelon inventory system with lateral and cross-echelon transshipment can reduce the total cost of the system.

Bayesian modeling for composite reliability and maximal reliability. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A reliability coefficient in psychometrics is used as an index of consistency. The α coefficient has been widely used as an estimate of reliability coefficient: however, in recent years, there has been an increasing interest in devising other methods of ...

Study of reliability of technical systems reliability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
The main states of reliability of a technical system and its elements are investigated by the example of vibration platforms for compacting concrete mixtures. Experimental studies on the development of vibration platforms for failure have been carried out.
