Test fixture for MESFET reliability life tests

Microelectronics Reliability, 1987
Abstract DC tests may be the method on which to found an unitary methodology for setting and analysis of GaAs MESFET reliaiblity studies. Each failure mechanism must be stressed without introducing erroneous one, due to the artificial conditions of accelerated tests.

An acceptance life test for high‐reliability products

Naval Research Logistics Quarterly, 1984
AbstractThis article introduces a replacement life‐test procedure for the exponential failure rate: Failure‐free operation of a unit for at least tk consecutive time units is designated a “success”; the acceptance test is passed if and only if the first success is encountered before k unit failures have been recorded.

A Preliminary Test Estimator of Reliability in a Life-Testing Model

IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 1987
This paper proposes a preliminary test estimator for the reliability of an exponential life-testing model. The optimum critical values for preliminary test and their corresponding levels of significance are obtained based on a minimax regret function.

A Class of Distributions Useful in Life Testing and Reliability

IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 1977
A new dass of distributions having a finite range that will be useful in life testing and reliability is proposed. Methods of estimating the unknown parameters are studied. Explicit expressions for lower moments of order statistics in complete random samples of any size are given.

Estimation of weibull reliability from few life tests

Quality and Reliability Engineering International, 1985
AbstractThe 2–parameter Weibull model can be re–parameterized in terms of shape parameter and a prefixed age for which a reliability estimation is required. Using the uniform and beta priors, some new point and lower bound reliability estimators were derived.

Reliability Estimation in Life Testing in the Presence of an Outlier Observation

Operations Research, 1972
The behavior of R̂t, the uniformly minimum variance unbiased estimator (umvne) of the reliability function for the one-parameter exponential family, is discussed when an outlier observation is present. Bounds of E(R̂t∣α) and MSE(R̂t∣α) have been obtained and a new estimator Rt* is proposed, where α reflects the “outlier effect on the scale” parameter.

Reliability, Life Testing, and Shelf Life

2016
Everything will fail, eventually. Reliability is a probability that a system (or a component) will fail no sooner than t time units from the time it begins operating. Reliability has many manifestations, or one might consider reliability as a special case of probabilities that some specific type of event will occur no sooner than t units from some ...
