Reliability Evaluation for Manufacturing System Based on Dynamic Adaptive Fuzzy Reasoning Petri Net

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Due to failure, partial failure, or maintenance, the capacity of each machine is multi-state. Therefore, the limited relationship between the capacity of each machine and the input raw materials has to be considered. Additionally, in order to utilize the

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Modeling Product Manufacturing Reliability with Quality Variations Centered on the Multilayered Coupling Operational Characteristics of Intelligent Manufacturing Systems

open access: yesSensors, 2020
For intelligent manufacturing systems, there are many deviations in operational characteristics, and the coupling effect of harmful operational characteristics leads to the variations in quality of the work-in-process (WIP) and the degradation of the ...

PH FITTING ALGORITHM AND ITS APPLICATION TO RELIABILITY ENGINEERING

open access: yes, 2016
This article presents parameter estimation of phase-type (PH) distribution. PH distribution is widely used in model-based performance evaluation such as reliability and queueing system, and is defied by an absorbing continuous-time Markov chain (CTMC ...

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Characterizing epithelial‐mesenchymal transition‐linked heterogeneity in breast cancer circulating tumor cells at a single‐cell level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In over 50% of non‐metastatic breast cancer patients, circulating tumor cells (CTCs) along the whole epithelial‐mesenchymal transition spectrum are detected. Total CTC number and individual phenotypes relate to aggressive disease characteristics, including lymph node involvement and higher tumor proliferation. At the single‐cell level, mesenchymal CTCs

Modeling the Capacitated Multi-Level Lot-Sizing Problem under Time-Varying Environments and a Fix-and-Optimize Solution Approach

open access: yesEntropy, 2019
In this study, we investigated the time-varying capacitated lot-sizing problem under a fast-changing production environment, where production factors such as the setup costs, inventory-holding costs, production capacities, or even material prices may be ...
