Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Roxarestat in Regulating Renal Anemia in Patients on Maintenance Hemodialysis

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of roxarestat versus recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) in the management of renal anemia in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. Methods This was a prospective, open‐label, randomized controlled trial.

Fuzzy Reliability Theory Based on Membership Function [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematical, Engineering and Management Sciences, 2016
In this study, it is considered that the shape of membership function and the values of parameters are arbitrary, hence reliability parameters will be arbitrary, and some data are even absurd from the point of view of real life practice. An applied fuzzy

Therapeutic Apheresis for Intravenous Methylprednisolone‐Refractory Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder: Clinical and Radiological Outcomes in a Single‐Center Case Series

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a relapsing autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. High‐dose intravenous methylprednisolone (IVMP) is the standard first‐line therapy for acute attacks, although some patients remain refractory.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Exploring the Differential Geometry of Reliability Function: Insights from Lifetime Weibull Distributions Under Neutrosophic Environment [PDF]

open access: yesNeutrosophic Sets and Systems
This paper characterizes a set N as a two-dimensional surface marked by 𝑅 + × 𝑅 + and demonstrates its properties as a topological 2-reliability manifold and a differential reliability manifold.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
