Reluctance network model for linear switched reluctance motor
2015 IEEE 12th International Multi-Conference on Systems, Signals & Devices (SSD15), 2015This paper presents a new reluctance network model developed in aim to design and optimize the linear switched reluctance motor. The developed reluctance network model is verified using finite element method. This reluctance network model takes an account the saturation of the ferromagnetic parts of the actuator.

Hybrid Drive of a Variable Flux Reluctance Motor and Switched Reluctance Motor
2018 XIII International Conference on Electrical Machines (ICEM), 2018A current superimposition variable flux reluctance motor for a traction motor of electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles are proposed. This motor can be driven using a 6-phase asymmetric inverter which is used to drive a switched reluctance motor. However, it is difficult to obtain a high efficiency in a low-speed and high-torque region.

This article first discusses the magnetic circuit of switched reluctance (SR) motors, their operating principles and characteristics. Next, the design of SR motors is considered. Prediction of the flux linkage-current-position characteristics is identified as the key for determining the performance of an SR motor at the design stage.

We formally solve the velocity and position regulation problem. A pendulum is included as the load in the position control problem. Our proposals are the closest control schemes to standard control for this class of motors, but our proposals are provided with formal stability proofs.

Reluctance motors depend for their operation on the existence of alternate zones of higher and lower permeance between stator and rotor round the periphery. In the usual form of reluctance motor this is provided by salient poles on the rotor. In the vernier form of reluctance motor it results from both stator and rotor having teeth, separated by open ...

Synchronization of Reluctance Motors
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1981In most of control and industrial applications, a high degree of rotational stability and uniformity of speed is required. These requirements can be achieved by using reluctance motors. The synchronization process of such motors is of prime importance for these applications. Therefore, a simple and accurate criterion is developed to define this process.
