Mycophenolate mofetil modulates adhesion receptors of the beta I integrin family on tumor cells: impact on tumor recurrence and malignancy

open access: yes, 2005
Background: Tumor development remains one of the major obstacles following organ transplantation. Immunosuppressive drugs such as cyclosporine and tacrolimus directly contribute to enhanced malignancy, whereas the influence of the novel compound ...

ZDHHC17‐Mediated CDK4 Palmitoylation Drives Cell Cycle Progression and Orchestrates Cancer Immune Surveillance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ZDHHC17 palmitoylates CDK4, which together with TRAF6‐mediated ubiquitination, drives cell cycle progression and immune surveillance, revealing a rational combination of CDK4 inhibitors with immune checkpoint blockers for ZDHHC17‐driven cancers. ABSTRACT Uncontrolled cell cycle progression is a hallmark of cancer, tightly regulated by both intrinsic ...

Targeting PLD3 Reverses the Immunosuppressive Niche by Reprogramming Tumor‐Associated Macrophages and Potentiates Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PLD3 activates the lysosomal‐AKT‐NF‐κB axis to drive cellular senescence in macrophages, establishing an immunosuppressive TME by limiting the infiltration of cytotoxic T, NK, and NKT cells, which confers resistance to anti‐PD‐1 therapy. Abrine inhibits PLD3 expression, restoring antitumor immunity and synergizing with anti‐PD‐1 treatment.

Myc Pathway Is Activated in Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma and Essential for Proliferation of Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma Cells

open access: yes, 2010
Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is the major and aggressive subtype of RCC. Previously, we identified 383 differentially expressed genes by analyzing full-length cDNA libraries of ccRCC and normal kidney tissues.

A Non‐Canonical Core Transcriptional Regulatory Circuit Orchestrates Chromatin Reprogramming to Drive Osimertinib Resistance in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A non‐canonical core transcriptional regulatory circuit, composed of ID3, SMAD3, and NR2F2, drives Osimertinib resistance in non‐small cell lung cancer through super‐enhancer‐mediated activation of EPAS1, which couples neuroendocrine differentiation with ferroptosis evasion.

Multilevel Genomics-Based Taxonomy of Renal Cell Carcinoma

open access: yes, 2016
On the basis of multidimensional and comprehensive molecular characterization (including DNA methalylation and copy number, RNA, and protein expression), we classified 894 renal cell carcinomas (RCCs) of various histologic types into nine major genomic ...

alpha B-Crystallin in clear cell renal cell carcinoma: Tumor progression and prognostic significance

open access: yes, 2017
Objectives: AlphaB-crystallin (alpha B-crystallin), a small heat shock protein, has been reported to be involved in the growth, antiapoptosis, migration, and chemoresistance of human malignancies.

Renal IGFBP6 Interacts With THBS1 to Drive Renal Cellular Senescence and Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Epithelial dedifferentiation and myofibroblast activation are critical drivers of chronic kidney disease (CKD) progression. Elevated levels of IGFBP6 have been linked to decreased renal function in CKD patients, but its precise role and underlying mechanisms remain unclear.
