Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

TREX1, a predator for treating MSI‐H tumors?

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Immunotherapy benefits many patients; yet, some with MSI‐H tumors remain unresponsive despite their high immunogenicity. Xu et al. reveal that TREX1 enables immune evasion by degrading cytosolic DNA and suppressing cGAS–STING–IFN‐I signaling. TREX1 loss restores DNA sensing, increases CD8+ T and NK cell infiltration, and boosts antitumor immunity ...

Managing Ethical Requirements Elicitation

open access: yes, 2023
The process of Requirements Elicitation (RE) demands from a software development team the need to communicate and engage with a variety of stakeholders, for numerous purposes regarding many aspects of the project. The aim is to translate the needs of the “customer” into accurate and actionable requirements.

Transforming natural language into controlled language in requirements elicitation: a pre-conceptual-schema-based conceptual synthesis

open access: yesRevista Facultad de Ingeniería Universidad de Antioquia, 2014
During  the  requirements  elicitation  process,  a  group  of  analysts  and stakeholders  identify,  capture,  and  integrate  requirements.  Textual  or graphic   descriptions   capturing   the   most   relevant   concepts   from   the   domain of a ...

A subset of MMR‐proficient colon cancers responds to neoadjuvant immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tan et al. reveal that a distinct subset of early‐stage pMMR colon cancers can respond to neoadjuvant immunotherapy. In the NICHE‐2 trial, responders (26%) were characterized by chromosomal instability, TP53 mutations, and proliferative cell‐cycle programs, whereas nonresponders showed metabolic and stromal reprogramming with TGF‐β‐driven ...

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Formal Requirements Elicitation with FRET [PDF]

open access: yes
FRET is a tool for writing, understanding, formalizing and analyzing requirements. Users write requirements in an intuitive, restricted natural language, called FRETISH, with precise, unambiguous meaning.

In search of requirements analyst characteristics that influence requirements elicitation effectiveness: a quasi-experiment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Context: Elicitation effectiveness depends on non-wellunderstood analyst?s skills and abilities. Identifying which analysts? characteristics have stronger influence on elicitation may help to improve requirements quality. Objective: Identify the analysts?

Molecular determinants of signal transduction in tropomyosin receptor kinases

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Tropomyosin receptor kinases control critical neuronal functions, but how do the same receptors produce diverse cellular responses? This review explores the structural mechanisms behind Trk signaling diversity, focusing on allosteric modulation and ligand bias.

Revisiting Requirements Elicitation Techniques

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computer Applications, 2013
The importance of Requirements Engineering (RE) has been well recognized by the research community in the last decade. There is no doubt to say that requirements phase is the foundation of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) on which the entire software is built.
