EFFECTIVE SEDIMENT CONTROL IN A RESERVOIR [PDF]
Sedimentation in a reservoir cannot be avoided. The average rate of sedimentation on the storage volume reduction of a reservoir in the world is about 1 % per year (Yoon,1992), meanwhile, the storage volume reduction in several reservoir in Indonesia ...

Reservoir properties prediction in carbonate reservoirs
Prediction of fluid pressure before drilling, using geophysical methods helps the industry a lot in saving human life, drilling hazards, and equipments. There are several geophysical methods available to predict the fluid pressure before drilling but the most commonly used in the industry are those based on seismic velocities.

Matrix: a complex amalgam of structures and functions in tumor microenvironment
The matrix is a dynamic, intricate three‐dimensional mesh of biomolecules with both structural and functional properties. This review deals with the complexity of this ‘molecular amalgam’ in the tumor microenvironment and highlights its importance in the maintenance and evolution of tumors by describing certain matrix biomolecules, such as ...

ABSTRACT Objective Despite the availability of effective therapies for Multiple Sclerosis (MS), the unpredictable nature of disease progression and the variability in individual treatment outcomes call for reliable biomarkers. This pilot study aims to investigate the potential of plasma circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) as predictive biomarkers for ...

Reservoir Computing with an Ensemble of Time-Delay Reservoirs
Reservoir computing (RC) has attracted a lot of attention in the field of machine learning because of its promising performance in a broad range of applications. However, it is difficult to implement standard RC in hardware. Reservoir computers with a single nonlinear neuron subject to delayed feedback (delay-based RC) allow efficient hardware ...

A Different Perspective on the Solid Lubrication Performance of Black Phosphorous: Friend or Foe?
Researchers investigate black phosphorous (BP) as a standalone solid lubricant coating through ball‐on‐disc linear‐reciprocating sliding experiments in dry conditions. Testing on different metals shows BP doesn't universally reduce friction and wear. However, it achieves 33% friction reduction on rougher iron surfaces and 23% wear reduction on aluminum.
