Experimental study on controlled unloaded transformer switching considering residual flux

2017 4th International Conference on Electric Power Equipment - Switching Technology (ICEPE-ST), 2017
Uncontrolled energization of unloaded transformers is usually associated with a large inrush current, several times larger than the rated transformer current. This transient can cause unfavourable consequences including reduction of transformer lifecycle, protective relay misoperations, and reduced power quality of the system.

Ultra-low Residue Flux Applications in RF Front-End Packages

International Symposium on Microelectronics, 2020
Abstract With the leap into the 5G era, the demand for improvements in the performance of mobile phones is on the rise. This is also true for the quantity of radio frequency (RF) front-end integrated circuits (ICs), especially for RF switches and low noise amplifiers (LNA).

Quality of hybrid circuits after soldering with “no residue” flux

Microelectronics Journal, 1992
Abstract New “no residue” fluxes from different producers, which after soldering do not require cleaning, were evaluated. After soldering, ionic residues were determinated by the dynamic extraction method. Insulation resistance on a test circuit with small distances between conductors was measured after soldering and after 1000 h at 40°C, 96% RH with

Method of determining the residual fluxes in transformer core

2017 18th International Symposium on Electromagnetic Fields in Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering (ISEF) Book of Abstracts, 2017
The article presents the method of calculating the residual induction in transformer columns. The method is based on measurement of the magnetic induction in selected points around the transformer core. The values of residual induction are calculated as linear combination of the results of measurement.

Cation Flux in Incubated Plant Residues and Its Effect on pH and Plant Residue Alkalinity

2011
Plant residues offer a viable alternative to the costly and non-readily available commercial lime in addressing the constraint of soil acidity among the rural smallholders. The liming potential of the residues, attributable to excess cations over inorganic anions, exists in either available or non-available forms.

Residual Currents and Flux Estimates in a Partially-mixed Estuary

Estuarine, Coastal and Shelf Science, 1998
Abstract An intensive sampling programme of physical parameters has been carried out at three representative areas to examine the variable circulation and mixing conditions in Southampton Water and the Test Estuary (Hampshire, southern England). Field data of current velocity and salinity were collected under neap and spring tidal cycles, and under ...

Residual Sodium and Potassium Fluxes Through Red Blood Cell Membranes

1996
Ion transport processes can be divided in four principal different mechanisms: (1) active transport (pump mechanism, consuming ATP), (2) channel mechanisms (regulated by the electrical potential across the membrane, specific substances, calcium ions, or mechanical pressure), (3) carrier mechanisms, i.e. stoichiometrically
