Residual Voltage in Polyethylene

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1982
A considerably high residual voltage can be observed even in non-degraded polyethylene by a non-contacting method using an electrostatic voltmeter. This residual voltage increases nonlinearly with increasing applied voltage and duration of voltage application, but decreases as the duration of short-circuiting is increased.

Accurate Performance of Residual Voltage Transfer Schemes

IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2014
Transferring motor loads from one bus to another bus, due to a source disconnection from a main–tie–main arrangement, is not a trivial action. The transfer is dependent on detection of breakers' status, switch positions, and accurate measurements of line and bus voltages. The mechanism of transferring loads from one bus to the other imposes a number of

S1 hydrophobic residues modulate voltage sensing phosphatase enzymatic function and voltage sensing

2023
AbstractThe voltage sensing domain (VSD) is a four-helix modular protein domain that converts electrical signals into conformational changes, leading to open pores and active enzymes. In most voltage sensing proteins, the VSDs do not interact with one another and the S1-S3 helices are considered mainly as scaffolding. The two exceptions are the voltage

Xerographic Development of Residual Voltage Variations

IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1983
Ideally, photoreceptor voltages are discharged to a low residual in background regions of the document being copied. However, large fluctuations of photoreceptor potential caused by charge nonuniformity, photoreceptor defects, or imperfect cleaning can be tolerated if the perturbations are spatially small.

Residual voltage of the electrical equipment

SPIE Proceedings, 2010
ABSTRACT The rapid development of electronic products today, it is a very important part of that electric shock prevention remains the safety design of electronic products. When unplug the electrical equipment, the voltage in each pin of the plug is residual voltage.
