Adhesion between the Resin Shell and Composite Resin.

open access: yesThe Journal of Nihon University School of Dentistry, 1992
Adhesiveness between the resin shell and composite resin was examined. As the resin shell, SR-PE-ISOCETTE, made from thermosetting crown and bridge resin, was used. The shear bond strengths between the resin shell and photocurable composite resin bonded by various methods were measured after 1-day of immersion in water at 37 degrees C. Super-bond C & B

Development of polymer network of phenolic and epoxies resins mixed with linseed oil: pilot study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Epoxy resin was mixed with phenolic resins in different percentages by weight. Composite 40/60 means the proportion by weight of epoxy resin is 40 percent. It was found that only composites 50/50 and 40/60 could be cured in ambient conditions. Dynamic

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Surface discharge imaging in presence of deposited space charges in non‐uniform DC electric field

open access: yesHigh Voltage, 2021
An investigation is made of the influence of an accumulated charge sprinkled on the surface of an epoxy resin plate in corona mode on partial discharge inception and its forms as analyzed by optical imaging at DC voltage. The effects of the polarities of

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Partial discharge characteristics of an air gap defect in the epoxy resin of a saturable reactor under an exponential decay pulse voltage

open access: yesHigh Voltage, 2020
Saturable reactor insulation is currently stressed by an exponential decay pulse voltage under normal operating conditions. The partial discharge (PD) characteristics of epoxy resin under an exponential decay pulse voltage were studied here and were ...

In‐situ observation of electrical tree evolution in epoxy dielectrics with internal cracks

open access: yesHigh Voltage, 2021
Gas‐filled internal crack might appear in thermoset materials like epoxy resin during the equipment manufacturing, which would become a vulnerable local region to initiate the electrical tree, thus prone to cause insulation failure. The withstand voltage

Resin composite repair: Quantitative microleakage evaluation of resin-resin and resin-tooth interfaces with different surface treatments

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Dentistry, 2015
ABSTRACT Objective: The aim was to evaluate the effect of different adhesive systems and surface treatments on the integrity of resin-resin and resin-tooth interfaces after partial removal of preexisting resin composites using quantitative image analysis for microleakage testing protocol. Materials and Methods: A total of 80 human molar teeth
