Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Complete Characterization of Resistance Distance for Linear Octagonal Networks

open access: yesComplexity, 2020
Computing the resistance distance of a network is a fundamental and classical topic. In the aspects of considering the resistances between any two points of the lattice networks, there are many studies associated with the ladder networks and ladderlike ...

Study of failure mechanism of double-lap joints of steel to FRP by bolt and resin [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Structural and Construction Engineering, 2017
In this study, the behavior of joints in two sides of steel coat which are screwed to the composite plate, and joints of two sides of compound steel coat (bolted and bonded) to the composite plate has been studied.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Study on Muck Pile Shape of Open-Pit Bench Blasting Based on PFC

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2023
To study the influence of different resistance lines and rows delay intervals on the shape of the muck pile and the throwing distance of open-pit bench blasting based on the open-pit bench blasting test, two-dimensional particle flow code (PFC2D) is used

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

The Role of Resistance Training in Distance Running

open access: yesProceedings of Singapore Healthcare, 2010
The main determinants of distance running performance include V̇O 2 max, lactate threshold (LT), and running economy (RE). The conventional way to achieve improvements in these areas is through endurance training due to the principle of training ...
