Physical Simulation of Si-Based Resistive Random-Access Memory Devices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We present a newly-developed three-dimensional (3D) physical simulator suitable for the study of resistive random-access memory (RRAM) devices. We explore the switching behavior of Si-rich silica (SiOx) RRAM structures, whose operation has been ...

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Resistive switching in ultra-thin La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 / SrRuO3 superlattices

open access: yes, 2014
Superlattices may play an important role in next generation electronic and spintronic devices if the key-challenge of the reading and writing data can be solved.

A Light‐Controlled Resistive Switching Memory

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, 2012
Sketch of the configuration of a light-controlled resistive switching memory. Light enters through the Al(2) O(3) uncovered surface and reaches the optically active p-Si substrate, where carriers are photogenerated and subsequently injected in the Al(2) O(3) layer when a suitable voltage pulse is applied.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Comment on "If it's pinched it's a memristor" by L. Chua [Semicond. Sci. Technol. 29, 104001 (2014)] [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In his paper "If it's pinched it's a memristor" [Semicond. Sci. Technol. 29, 104001 (2014)] L. Chua claims to extend the notion of memristor to all two-terminal resistive devices that show a hysteresis loop pinched at the origin.

Targeting p38α in cancer: challenges, opportunities, and emerging strategies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
p38α normally regulates cellular stress responses and homeostasis and suppresses malignant transformation. In cancer, however, p38α is co‐opted to drive context‐dependent proliferation and dissemination. p38α also supports key functions in cells of the tumor microenvironment, including fibroblasts, myeloid cells, and T lymphocytes.

Data related to the nanoscale structural and compositional evolution in resistance change memories

open access: yesData in Brief, 2018
The data included in this article provides additional supplementary information on our recent publication describing “Inducing tunable switching behavior in a single memristor” [1]. Analyses of micro/nano-structural and compositional changes induced in a
