Approximate controllability for a stochastic elastic system with structural damping and infinite delay

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2023
In this article, we study the existence of mild solutions and the approximate controllability for a class of stochastic elastic systems with structural damping and infinite delay in Hilbert spaces.

Mean resolvent operator of a statistically steady flow

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Mechanics, 2023
This paper introduces a new operator relevant to input–output analysis of flows in a statistically steady regime far from the steady base flow: the mean resolvent${{\boldsymbol{\mathsf{R}}}}_0$. It is defined as the operator predicting, in the frequency domain, the mean linear response to forcing of the time-varying base flow.

Intraoperative Collection of Ascitic Fluid With Intra‐ or Postoperative Reinfusion in Ovarian Cancer: Safety and Feasibility of a Roller Pumping Method

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with ovarian cancer often present with massive ascites, leading to significant protein loss during surgical procedures. Although cell‐free concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy (CART) is used in palliative settings to mitigate protein loss, its application in intraoperative settings remains unexplored.

Uniform resolvent convergence for strip with fast oscillating boundary

open access: yes, 2013
In a planar infinite strip with a fast oscillating boundary we consider an elliptic operator assuming that both the period and the amplitude of the oscillations are small.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Investigation of the Spectral Properties of a Non-Self-Adjoint Elliptic Differential Operator

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2021
Non-self-adjoint operators have many applications, including quantum and heat equations. On the other hand, the study of these types of operators is more difficult than that of self-adjoint operators.

Uniform resolvent estimates for Schr\"odinger operator with an inverse-square potential

open access: yes, 2019
We study the uniform resolvent estimates for Schr\"odinger operator with a Hardy-type singular potential. Let $\mathcal{L}_V=-\Delta+V(x)$ where $\Delta$ is the usual Laplacian on $\mathbb{R}^n$ and $V(x)=V_0(\theta) r^{-2}$ where $r=|x|, \theta=x/|x|$

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Properties of the resolvent of singular q-Dirac operators

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2020
In this article, we investigate the resolvent operator of a singular q-Dirac system. We obtain an integral representations for the resolvent of this system, in terms of the spectral function.

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only
