Respiratory disease in pregnancy
A variety of respiratory complications can be encountered in pregnancy. An understanding of the pathophysiology of pregnancy is important in the management of such complications. Despite the changes in immunity, the incidence of respiratory infections is not higher in pregnancy.

Inception-Based Network and Multi-Spectrogram Ensemble Applied For Predicting Respiratory Anomalies and Lung Diseases [PDF]
This paper presents an inception-based deep neural network for detecting lung diseases using respiratory sound input. Recordings of respiratory sound collected from patients are firstly transformed into spectrograms where both spectral and temporal information are well presented, referred to as front-end feature extraction.

The power of microRNA regulation—insights into immunity and metabolism
MicroRNAs are emerging as crucial regulators at the intersection of metabolism and immunity. This review examines how miRNAs coordinate glucose and lipid metabolism while simultaneously modulating T‐cell development and immune responses. Moreover, it highlights how cutting‐edge artificial intelligence applications can identify miRNA biomarkers ...

Estimation of Physical Activity Level and Ambient Condition Thresholds for Respiratory Health using Smartphone Sensors [PDF]
While physical activity has been described as a primary prevention against chronic diseases, strenuous physical exertion under adverse ambient conditions has also been reported as a major contributor to exacerbation of chronic respiratory conditions.

Diagnosis and management of NSAID‐Exacerbated Respiratory Disease (N‐ERD)—a EAACI position paper
NSAID‐exacerbated respiratory disease (N‐ERD) is a chronic eosinophilic, inflammatory disorder of the respiratory tract occurring in patients with asthma and/or chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP), symptoms of which are exacerbated by ...

Spot‐14 and Spot‐14R play distinct roles in regulating metabolism in brown and beige adipocytes. While both influence lipid and glucose pathways, Spot‐14 uniquely controls thermogenic gene expression. This dual regulation balances energy storage and heat production, highlighting potential therapeutic targets for obesity and metabolic disorders. Spot 14

Robust Deep Learning Framework For Predicting Respiratory Anomalies and Diseases [PDF]
This paper presents a robust deep learning framework developed to detect respiratory diseases from recordings of respiratory sounds. The complete detection process firstly involves front end feature extraction where recordings are transformed into spectrograms that convey both spectral and temporal information.

Crosstalk between gut microbiota and tumor: tumors could cause gut dysbiosis and metabolic imbalance
In this research, we analyzed the relationship between gut microbiota and tumor. We discovered that both subcutaneous and metastatic tumors would alter the composition and metabolic function of gut microbiota. Meanwhile, fecal microbiota transplantation also indicated the anti‐tumor role of the gut microbiota, revealing the crosstalk between tumor and ...
