Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Parallel model-based and model-free reinforcement learning for card sorting performance
The Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WCST) is considered a gold standard for the assessment of cognitive flexibility. On the WCST, repeating a sorting category following negative feedback is typically treated as indicating reduced cognitive flexibility ...

Neural Responses to Truth Telling and Risk Propensity under Asymmetric Information
Trust is multi-dimensional because it can be characterized by subjective trust, trust antecedent, and behavioral trust. Previous research has investigated functional brain responses to subjective trust (e.g., a judgment of trustworthiness) or behavioral trust (e.g., decisions to trust) in perfect information, where all relevant information is available

Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Questionnaire Design and Response Propensities for Labour Income Microdata
AbstractThe income question in household surveys is one of the most socially sensitive constructs. Two problems that arise with social sensitivity concern the probability of obtaining a response and the type of response provided. In survey error terms, this translates into an important relationship between questionnaire design (construct validity) and ...

Investigation of asymmetric impulse responses between average consumption propensity and average food consumption propensity of household in Korea [PDF]
Average consumption propensity (ACP) and average food consumption propensity (AFCP) are important indices for implementing macroeconomic and food policies. The present paper investigates the existence of asymmetric responses of ACP and AFCP to positive and negative shocks of each series in Korea.
