Stochastic Vehicle Routing Problem with Restocking
Transportation Science, 2000In this paper, a stochastic vehicle routing problem is considered. In particular, customer demand is assumed to be uncertain, and actual demand is revealed only upon the visit to the customer. Instead of adopting the simple recourse action of returning to the depot whenever the vehicle runs out of stock, the points along the route at which restocking ...

2014
Restocking of cephalopods originated from the awareness of the depletion of natural resources and a need for conservation from stakeholders, public and private sectors. The concept of cephalopod restocking activities is to produce the cephalopod seeds and then release them back into the habitat where the species occur.

Restocking of salmonids—opportunities and limitations
Fisheries Research, 2003Stocking can be a cost effective method of enhancing salmonid populations, in particular where the aim is to restore populations or mitigate against developments. There are risks associated with any intervention and it is suggested that all stockings undergo risk screening in order to identify the high risk areas.

Plantation establishment and restocking
1997Abstract After species selection, the next process in the management of a plantation is how to establish the new crop. Establishment is most commonly carried out by planting young trees which have been raised in nurseries or, more rarely, by direct seeding of the site.

Natural Restocking of Redwood Cutover Lands
Journal of Forestry, 1942Abstract Redwood forests have contributed greatly to the economic development of the north coast counties of California, and today, after nearly a century of exploitation, are still the most important basic resource. This is particularly true in Humboldt and Mendocino Counties, which contain nearly 80 per cent of the remaining virgin ...

Birds of Restocked Conifer Plantations in Wales
The Journal of Applied Ecology, 1985(1) Five minute counts at 326 points in sixty-two conifer plots, restocked 2-11 years previously, contained 3258 records of thirty-one species of songbird in the breeding season. Density and species richness greatly exceeded previous findings on newly afforested ground. (2) Significant associations between the occurrences of individual bird species and
