Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Genetic analysis of growth traits in Iranian Makuie sheep breed
The Makuie sheep is a fat-tailed sheep breed which can be found in the Azerbaijan province of Iran. In 1986, a Makuie sheep breeding station was established in the city of Maku in order to breed, protect and purify this breed.

The Multiple Indicator - Multiple Cause Model with Several Latent Variables [PDF]
A model in which one observes multiple indicators and multiple causes of several latent variables is considered. The parameters of this model are estimated by maximum likelihood and restricted rank regression approaches.

A Simple Argument Showing How to Derive Restricted Maximum Likelihood
Abstract This paper presents a pedagogical argument to explain to quantitative geneticists how REML can be derived from maximum likelihood for estimation of variance components. The argument is first developed for N independent normal observations with mean μ and variance σ 2 and is afterward extended to a general linear mixed model structure, y ∼ N ...

Efficient Implementation of the New Restricted Maximum Likelihood Algorithms
Abstract Recently tridiagonalization and diagonalization have been proposed as methods to speed the EM algorithm for variance component estimation in restricted maximum likelihood. These methods require approximately the same computing resources, but only if the most efficient strategies are employed.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Flexible Mixture Modeling with the Polynomial Gaussian Cluster-Weighted Model [PDF]
In the mixture modeling frame, this paper presents the polynomial Gaussian cluster-weighted model (CWM). It extends the linear Gaussian CWM, for bivariate data, in a twofold way.

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Stochastic Restricted Modified Mixed Logistic Estimator
In this study, we introduce a new estimator named the Stochastic Restricted Modified Mixed Logistic Estimator (SRMMLE), which is specifically designed to handle multicollinearity within the framework of stochastic linear restrictions.
