Brachial Artery Aneurysm with Brachial Plexus Neuropathy: A Case Report with Review of Literature

open access: yesJK Science, 2022
Brachial artery aneurysms (BAA) present in a diverse manner, neuropathy is however rare. A 20-year-old female presented with swelling, weakness, and numbness of the left upper limb that perplexed the clinicians.

Electrophysiological Mechanisms of Atrial Flutter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Atrial flutter (AFL) is a common arrhythmia in clinical practice. Several experimental models such as tricuspid regurgitation model, tricuspid ring model, sterile pericarditis model and atrial crush injury model have provided important information about

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

A Novel 4H-SiC SGT MOSFET with Improved P+ Shielding Region and Integrated Schottky Barrier Diode

open access: yesMicromachines
A silicon carbide (SiC) SGT MOSFET featuring a “一”-shaped P+ shielding region (PSR), named SPDT-MOS, is proposed in this article. The improved PSR is introduced as a replacement for the source trench to enhance the forward performance of the device.

Plasma extrachromosomal circular DNA as a biomarker in EGFR‐targeted therapy of non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

Analysis of Reverse-Bias Leakage Current Mechanisms in Metal/GaN Schottky Diodes

open access: yesAdvances in Condensed Matter Physics, 2010
Temperature-dependent reverse-bias current-voltage characteristics obtained by other researchers for Schottky diodes fabricated on GaN are reinterpreted in terms of phonon-assisted tunneling (PhAT) model.
