Power MOSFETs reverse conduction revisited

A contribution to the characterization of power MOS transistors under optimized switching behavior is presented. Reverse conduction through the channel resistance is imposed, avoiding the problem of integral diode recovery time without using external diodes. The control circuit design is discussed.

A study on the reverse current phenomenon in synchronous rectifiers is presented in this paper. For loss reduction, the synchronous rectifiers composed of MOSFETs have recently been employed to replace the conventional rectifiers with diodes in low voltage and high current applications.

Reversible, Nanometer-Scale Conductance Transitions in an Organic Complex

Reversible conductance transitions are demonstrated on the molecular scale in a complex of 3-nitrobenzal malononitrile and 1, 4-phenylenediamine, by application of local electric field pulses. Both macroscopic and local current-voltage (I/V) measurements show similar electrical bistability behavior.

Acetazolamide reversibly inhibits water conduction by aquaporin-4

Aquaporin-4 (AQP4) has been implicated in cytotoxic brain edema resulting from water intoxication, brain ischemia or meningitis. AQP4 inhibitors suitable for clinical use would thus be expected to help protect against brain edema. Reversible Conductance Switching of Single Diarylethenes on a Gold Surface

Light-controlled conductance switching of diarylethenes attached to Au(111) is reported (see figure). First, scanning tunneling microscopy is used to demonstrate reversible photoswitching for individual molecules. Second, reversible switching in self-assembled monolayers is established by means of optical spectroscopy.
