Filamented Light (FLight) Bioprinting of Mini‐Muscles with Self‐Renewal Potential

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents the FLight biofabrication for engineering in vitro muscle constructs by photocrosslinking pristine collagen and fibrinogen using ruthenium. The resulting mini‐muscles retain in vivo‐like tissue organization and a Pax7⁺ cell pool.

MLL/GAS7 fusion in a pediatric case of t(11;17)(q23;p13)-positive precursor B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
AML/GAS7, resulting from t(11;17)(q23;p13), has been reported in one case of treatment-related acute myeloid leukemia (AML). We present a de novo case of t(11;17)-positive pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

In Situ Monitoring and Electrical Modulation of Cellular Behaviors Directly at the Cell–Electrode Interface

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study presents a platform for simultaneous monitoring and electrical control of cellular responses at the cell–electrode interface. The platform delivers tunable yet uniform electrical cues to cells, revealing that optimal electrical stimulation (ES) conditions vary across cell types.

Boron deficiency responses in maize (Zea mays L.) roots

open access: yesJournal of Plant Nutrition and Soil Science, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Background Boron (B) is an essential micronutrient for plants. Dicot plants respond to insufficient B supply by altering root architecture and root hair growth. How root systems of rather low‐B demanding monocot species such as maize (Zea mays L.) respond to B deficiency in terra has not been experimentally resolved, yet.

Non-genomic regulation of intermediate conductance potassium channels by aldosterone in human colonic crypt cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
BACKGROUND: Aldosterone has a rapid, non-genomic, inhibitory effect on macroscopic basolateral K+ conductance in the human colon, reducing its capacity for Cl− secretion.

Detection of Flaviviruses by Reverse Transcriptase‐Polymerase Chain Reaction with the Universal Primer Set [PDF]

open access: yesMicrobiology and Immunology, 1997
AbstractUsing a universal primer set designed to match the sequence of the NS1 gene of flaviviruses, the virus RNA of dengue (DEN), Japanese encephalitis (JEV), powassan and langat of Flaviviridae were successfully amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) via cDNA; and with different internal primers, the serotypes of the dengue viruses were ...

Tumor‐Associated Sympathetic Nerves Promote the Progression of Epstein‐Barr Virus‐Positive Diffuse Large B‐Cell Lymphoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sympathetic nerve innervation promotes the progression of Epstein‐Barr virus‐positive diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma (EBV+ DLBCL) via β2‐adrenergic receptors. The discovery of enhanced nerve infiltration and β2AR expression reveals a novel mechanism and highlights the sympathetic–β2AR axis as a promising target for therapeutic intervention in EBV+ DLBCL.

Pelacakan Kasus Flu Burung pada Ayam dengan Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction* (DETECTION OF AVIAN INFLUENZA IN CHICKENS BY REVERSE TRANSCRIPTASE POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION)

open access: yesJurnal Veteriner, 2013
Avian Influenza (AI) or Bird Flu is a fatal zoonotic disease caused by highly pathogenic avian influenza(HPAI) virus of H5N1 sub-type. The disease is still endemic in Indonesia. This study was conducted toinvestigate AI cases in chickens in Bali.
