Impact of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on neuronal functions

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2016
Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), a noninvasive brain stimulation technique, modulates neuronal excitability by the application of a small electrical current.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Research of RLC-chain of sinusoidal voltage with controlled inductive element reversing

open access: yes, 2011
Upon reversing of inductive element the sin-voltage RLC-circuit processes due to controlled commutator were analyzed. Obtained recurrent formulae enable to determine the capacity voltage and the inductive current at any temporal intervals irrespective of

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Ca2+/Calcineurin-Dependent Inactivation of Neuronal L-Type Ca2+ Channels Requires Priming by AKAP-Anchored Protein Kinase A

open access: yesCell Reports, 2014
Within neurons, Ca2+-dependent inactivation (CDI) of voltage-gated L-type Ca2+ channels shapes cytoplasmic Ca2+ signals. CDI is initiated by Ca2+ binding to channel-associated calmodulin and subsequent Ca2+/calmodulin activation of the Ca2+-dependent ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Research Progress on Chinese Herbal Medicine Components Targeting Ferroptosis for Cancer Therapy

open access: yesMolecules
Recent studies indicate that ferroptosis shows unique advantages in oncotherapy, particularly in reversing multidrug resistance (MDR). Despite current therapeutic advancements, the treatment of high-incidence malignancies with dismal prognoses continues ...
