Tetrasomic Linkage Mapping of RFLP, PCR, and Isozyme Loci in Lotus corniculatus L
Crop Science, 2003Lotus corniculatus L. is a tetraploid (2n = 4x = 24) forage legume which has had limited inheritance studies. The purpose of this research was to develop a genetic map and characterize the genome of L. corniculatus using molecular markers. A linkage map was constructed for L.

Molecular typing of Candida albicans isolates using RFLP-PCR
Mikologia Lekarska, 2012Introduction: Candida albicans is the commensals of the gastrointestinal tract of mammalian, as well as very important opportunistic human pathogen causing mucous membrane infections, skin infections or nail infections. Untreated deep candidiasis can lead to a fatal outcome.

Genetic differences between two subspecies of Dolly Varden, northern Salvelinus malma malma and southern Salvelinus malma krascheninnikovi, from rivers of eastern Russia were studied. Mitochondrial DNA was analyzed by restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLP) performed on products amplified with polymerase chain reaction. Three adjacent segments

Analiza obecności Cryptosporidium sp. w ściekach komunalnych metodą RFLP-PCR
Technical Transactions. Environment Engineering = Czasopismo Techniczne. Środowisko, 2011Development of a rapid, sensitive and reliable detection methods for Cryptosporidium sp. oocysts in environmental samples is a necessity resulting from both the spread of this parasite and the recommendations of EU 98/83/EC directive. This work is a practical attempt to verify and assess one of the techniques of molecular biology – the analysis of ...

Current methodologies for detection of Cryptosporidium sp. in water, despite some efforts for standardization (e.g. EPA Methods 1622/1623), has several drawback that limit the applicability or interpretation of the results of Cryptosporidium monitoring. Presence of some chemical dissolved in water, ageing of oocysts, reduced affinity of antibodies used

Research in Veterinary Science
Dogs in endemic regions are susceptible to leishmaniasis, a common vector-borne illness. Serological techniques and direct parasitological inquiry have been employed for diagnosis. However, molecular techniques are more sensitive and specific for identifying Leishmania infection in both clinically healthy and diseased dogs.
