Rhizoctonia solani and Its Biological Control

open access: yesTürkiye Tarımsal Araştırmalar Dergisi, 2022
Rhizoctonia solani is a soil- and seed-borne fungus belonging to class basidiomycete and capable of living free and as a saprophyte in the soil. It is divided into 14 anastomosis groups (AGs), which are incompatible with each other in terms of reproduction and proliferation.

Rhizoctonia solani in Delphinium

open access: yes, 2013

Nano/Micro‐Engineered Hydrogel Carriers for Sustainable Agriculture: Bridging Structural Form to Field Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, Volume 10, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Hydrogels are 3D polymeric networks that can absorb and retain significant amounts of water and exhibit physical properties such as swelling and contraction in response to changes in the external environment. Owing to these unique physicochemical properties, hydrogels have attracted interest as effective solutions to key challenges in modern ...

Identification of potential marker genes for Trichoderma harzianum strains with high antagonistic potential against Rhizoctonia solani by a rapid subtraction hybridization approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A rapid subtraction hybridization approach was used to isolate genes differentially expressed during mycelial contact between Trichoderma harzianum (Hypocrea lixii) and Rhizoctonia solani, and could serve as marker genes for selection of ...

Antagonistic effect of rhizospheric bacteria against white rot (Sclerotium cepivorum) of garlic (Allium sativum L.) under in vitro and in vivo conditions

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Garlic (Allium sativum), a vegetable crop used for food, medicine, and condiments, is affected by white rot (Sclerotium cepivorum). Garlic yield reduction is influenced by several factors, with biotic stresses, particularly fungal pathogens, being among the most significant.

THE INFLUENCE OF ANTAGONISTIC BACTERIA SERRATIA PLYMUTHICA AND BACILLUS SUBTILIS ON AFFECTION OF SALAD PLANTS BY RHIZOCTONIA SOLANI

open access: yesРоссийский паразитологический журнал, 2016
High efficiency of mixture of two bacterial strains Serratia plymuthica and Bacillus  subtilis was shown against development of Rhizoctonia solani on plants of salad variety Leny  (Nunhems). Survival, biomass of plants, and number  of affected plants and

Studies on black scurf of potato caused by Rhizoctonia solani Khun : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Agricultural Science at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
The potato, Solanum tuberosum L. is second only to wheat in importance as a food crop in New Zealand. During the last five years the total area of potatoes grown has fluctuated between 8,000 and 10,000 hectares, and the yield has increased steadily to ...
