Effects of biomass hydrolysis by-products on oleaginous yeast Rhodosporidium toruloides

Bioresource Technology, 2009
Lignocellulosic biomass hydrolysis inevitably coproduces byproducts that may have various affects on downstream biotransformation. It is imperative to document the inhibitor tolerance ability of microbial strain in order to utilize biomass hydrolysate more effectively.

Chemoenzymatic synthesis of (S)-duloxetine using carbonyl reductase from Rhodosporidium toruloides

Bioorganic Chemistry, 2016
A chemoenzymatic strategy was developed for (S)-duloxetine production employing carbonyl reductases from newly isolated Rhodosporidium toruloides into the enantiodetermining step. Amongst the ten most permissive enzymes identified, cloned, and overexpressed in Escherichia coli, RtSCR9 exhibited excellent activity and enantioselectivity.

Analysis of the gene for phenylalanine ammonia-lyase fromRhodosporidium toruloides

DNA Sequence, 1991
We have cloned and sequenced the pal gene encoding phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL) from Rhodosporidium toruloides strain CBS14. Our data imply a different start codon and thus a different amino acid sequence for the N-terminus of PAL as compared to the previously published sequence for pal from R. toruloides strain IF00559.

[Beta-1,3-glucomannanase assisted lipid extraction from Rhodosporidium toruloides].

Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2014
To evaluate the effectiveness of enzymatic assisted extraction (EAE) of lipid from the oleaginous yeast Rhodosporidium toruloides in the presence of beta-1,3-glucomannanase at a larger scale, we investigated the effects of enzymatic treatment and extraction conditions on lipid extraction yields at 10-L scale by using the broth of R.

Charakterizace proteomu Rhodosporidium toruloides pomocí LC-MS/MS
