Deficiency in Signed Graphs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
We introduce the concept of deficiency in signed graphs. The deficiency of a coloration is the number of unused colors. We classify the deficiency of 2-chromatic graphs. There are four decision problems about the minimum and maximum deficiency of a 3-chromatic signed graph. We answer two of them with a polynomial-time algorithm for deciding the maximum

Bioinspired Claw‐Engaged Adhesive Microparticles Armed with γGC Alleviate Ulcerative Colitis via Targeted Suppression of Macrophage Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
γGC deficiency in ulcerative colitis drives macrophage ferroptosis‐mediated inflammation. Claw‐engaged microparticles armed with γGC (γGC‐MPs) enhance lesion targeting, promoting localized γGC release and tissue uptake. On the cover, Monkey King (Macrophages) was bound by the Immortal‐Binding Rope and subsequently sealed beneath the Five‐Fingered ...

Vitamins of camel milk: A comprehensive review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Several authors base their arguments to promote the health benefits of camel milk on components such as vitamins. However, except for vitamin C, the number of references is limited and, overall, reported concentrations in the literature are highly ...

Creatinine, diet, micronutrients, and arsenic methylation in West Bengal, India. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
BackgroundIngested inorganic arsenic (InAs) is methylated to monomethylated (MMA) and dimethylated metabolites (DMA). Methylation may have an important role in arsenic toxicity, because the monomethylated trivalent metabolite [MMA(III)] is highly toxic ...

Genomic analysis of a riboflavin-overproducing Ashbya gossypii mutant isolated by disparity mutagenesis

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2020
Background Ashbya gossypii naturally overproduces riboflavin and has been utilized for industrial riboflavin production. To improve riboflavin production, various approaches have been developed. In this study, to investigate the change in metabolism of a

Riboflavin deficiency and the preterm infant [PDF]

open access: yesPediatric Research, 1984
Riboflavin (B2) plays a central role in intermediary metabolism and energy release; little is known about riboflavin requirements or pathophysiological consequences of deficiency states in preterm (PT) infants. 68 infants were allocated randomly to diets including human milk or a preterm formula containing 1.8 mg riboflavin/1.

Maternal vitamin deficiency mimicking multiple acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency on newborn screening

open access: yesMolecular Genetics and Metabolism Reports, 2021
Background: In infancy multiple acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (MADD) is commonly a severe inherited metabolic disease caused by genetic defects in electron transfer flavoprotein (ETF) or ETF ubiquinone oxidoreductase.
