Impact of Geography on Institutions in Agricultural and Nomadic Societies
ABSTRACT How geography affects the choice of institutions is studied in a theoretical model. In this model, nations are located around a circle. Soil Silicon Application Alleviates Drought Stress in Sugar Beet (Beta vulgaris L.)
ABSTRACT Background: The increasing frequency and intensity of drought events have led to yield and quality losses in sugar beet production in temperate regions in Central Europe. Under arid conditions, silicon (Si) application reduced beet yield losses under drought. Similar data for temperate climates are missing.
