Stereoselectivity of Macrocyclic Ring-Closing Olefin Metathesis [PDF]
[reaction: see text] Macrocyclic ring-closing olefin metathesis using ruthenium catalyst 3 was performed to produce a 14-membered lactone. The E/Z ratio of lactone was high regardless of the R group (auxiliary) or the initial alkene stereochemistry.

Light-induced olefin metathesis
Light activation is a most desirable property for catalysis control. Among the many catalytic processes that may be activated by light, olefin metathesis stands out as both academically motivating and practically useful.

Metathesis reactions is firmly established as a valuable synthetic tool in organic chemistry, clearly comparable with the venerable Diels-Alder and Wittig reactions and, more recently, with the metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions.

Mechanochemistry Meets Catalysis: Metal Complexes for Greener Organic Transformations
Mechanochemistry is redefining metal catalysis by controlling catalyst formulation, speciation, and deployment. This Review shows how milling, LAG, RAM, and TSE enable rapid metal‐complex assembly, distinctive catalytic manifolds, and scalable synthesis beyond solution chemistry.

Olefin metathesis in nano-sized systems
The interplay between olefin metathesis and dendrimers and other nano systems is addressed in this mini review mostly based on the authors’ own contributions over the last decade.

Enzymatic Encoding of Topology in an Intrinsically Disordered Single‐Chain Protein
Enzymatic intramolecular cross‐linking enables topology control in intrinsically disordered proteins, yielding SCNPs with reproducible cavity architectures. Using β‐casein and microbial transglutaminase, sparse, sequence‐resolved constraints drive compact collapse without inducing secondary structure.

Two anionic, T‐shaped, d10 platinum(0) complexes containing a PNP pincer ligand have been isolated and characterized. These complexes react with aliphatic C‐Br bonds under formation of a platinum(II) bromide and an alkyl complex, as well as the homocoupled hydrocarbons.
