MODELLING OF FCC PROCESS BASED ON CLUSTER SIZE VARIATION ALONG THE RISER [PDF]
Fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) is an important petroleum process to convert heavy petroleum cuts into light cuts such as gasoline and LPG. In this work, a steady state one dimensional model of FCC riser using a 4-lump kinetic model was presented ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Analysis of Interference Factors for TLP Riser System
Interference may occur between serial risers since the TLP riser system is under complex forces. The interference factors mainly include riser spacing, platform offset, top tension, wave and current.Determining how such factors interfere the risers helps to ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Development of ANN Model for the Prediction of VIV Fatigue Damage of Top-tensioned Riser
Marine riser experiences vortex-induced vibration (VIV) caused by current, leading to fatigue damage if VIV is not considered in design of riser. Estimation of VIV fatigue damage is essential in designing feasible and operable riser.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
