Brassica napus (L.) contributes over $19 billion dollars each year to the Canadian economy. However, yields are constantly threatened by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib) de Bary, the fungus responsible for Sclerotinia stem rot. To date, there are no global

Tandem CCCH zinc finger (TZF) proteins play diverse roles in plant growth and stress response. Although as many as 11 TZF proteins have been identified in Arabidopsis, little is known about the mechanism by which TZF proteins select and regulate the ...

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Epitranscriptomic modifications in plant RNAs
A plethora of new and exciting findings have dramatically widened the horizons of plant RNA-related research. Despite being identified decades ago, RNA modifications were largely ignored owing to the immense difficulty in studying them with traditional methods.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Influence of viral genes on the cell-to-cell spread of RNA silencing [PDF]
The turnip crinkle virus-based vector TCV–GFPDCP had been devised previously to study cell-to-cell and long-distance spread of virus-induced RNA silencing.

A central paradox in evolutionary biology is the rarity of asexual reproduction, often attributed to developmental constraints and long-term costs. Yet, fissiparous asexuality—where animals split and regenerate—is widespread among planarians, hinting at ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

IRGL-RRI: interpretable graph representation learning for plant RNA–RNA interaction discovery
Plant RNAs are crucial for plant gene expression and protein synthesis. They modulate the spatial structure of themselves and associated molecules, thereby influencing transcription, translation and gene expression regulation.
