RNA-binding protein immunoprecipitation as a tool to investigate plant miRNA processing interference by regulatory proteins of diverse origin [PDF]
Background: Due to the nature of viral RNA genomes, RNA viruses depend on many RNA-binding proteins (RBP) of viral and host origin for replication, dissemination and evasion of host RNA degradation pathways.

We quantified and cultured circulating tumor cells (CTCs) of 62 patients with various cancer types and generated CTC‐derived tumoroid models from two salivary gland cancer patients. Cellular liquid biopsy‐derived information enabled molecular genetic assessment of systemic disease heterogeneity and functional testing for therapy selection in both ...

Adaptive ERK reactivation hinders FLT3 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment in FLT3/ITD acute myeloid leukemia. Here, we report that FLT3 TKI treatment rapidly induces AXL expression and upregulation that is temporally associated with the adaptive ERK reactivation.

Biological Averaging in RNA-Seq [PDF]
RNA-seq has become a de facto standard for measuring gene expression. Traditionally, RNA-seq experiments are mathematically averaged -- they sequence the mRNA of individuals from different treatment groups, hoping to correlate phenotype with differences in arithmetic read count averages at shared loci of interest.

Molecular evolution of RRM-containing proteins and glycine-rich RNA-binding proteins in plants [PDF]
*Abstract* *Background:* In angiosperms, RNA-binding proteins with an RNA recognition motif (RRM)-type RNA interaction domain play an important role in developmental and environmental responses.

The Role of the Chloroplast in the Replication of Positive-Sense Single-Stranded Plant RNA Viruses
Positive-sense single-stranded plant RNA viruses are obligate intracellular parasites that infect many agriculturally important crops. Most known plant RNA viruses are characterized by small genomes encoding a limited number of multifunctional viral ...

Shapes of interacting RNA complexes [PDF]
Shapes of interacting RNA complexes are studied using a filtration via their topological genus. A shape of an RNA complex is obtained by (iteratively) collapsing stacks and eliminating hairpin loops. This shape-projection preserves the topological core of the RNA complex and for fixed topological genus there are only finitely many such shapes. Our main ...

This study simultaneously investigated circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and exosomes from small‐cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients. The elevated expression of JUNB and CXCR4 in CTCs was a poor prognostic factor for SCLC patients, whereas exosomal overexpression of these biomarkers revealed a high discrimination ability of patients from healthy individuals,

This study explores how sepsis affects GC progression by creating an immunosuppressive environment. Our findings reveal that sepsis promotes immune dysregulation, enhancing tumor growth and metastasis. Targeting the PD‐1/PD‐L1 pathway with monoclonal antibodies shows potential for restoring immune function and improving outcomes in cancer patients ...
