Aerodynamic Performance of Road Vehicles

open access: yesInternational Journal of Innovative Technology and Exploring Engineering, 2020
Aerodynamic drag has been experimentally estimated for scale models of a passenger car and a commercial truck in a wind tunnel. Polished surface has resulted up to 15 % reduction in drag force and add-on has resulted in 57% increase in drag force of a car model whereas 2.6 % reduction in drag force has resulted by using deflector in a commercial truck ...

Intercompartmental communication in senescence

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Senescent cells experience structural changes in the plasma membrane, endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, lysosomes, nucleus, and cytoskeleton. These alterations disrupt crosstalk among cellular compartments, impairing vesicular trafficking, contact sites, and molecular flow.

Blood‐based proteomic profiling reveals context‐dependent changes in BCL2‐associated signaling during taxane therapy in breast cancer patients

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

Analysis of Vibration Characteristics of Spatial Non-Uniform Tensioned Thin-Film Structures Based on the Absolute Nodal Coordinate Formulation

open access: yesMicromachines
Due to their lightweight characteristics, spatial thin-film structures can generate vibrations far exceeding their film thickness when subjected to external loads, which has become a key factor limiting their performance.

ALS With and Without Upper Motor Neuron Signs: A Comparative Study Supporting the Gold Coast Criteria

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective The Gold Coast criteria permit diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) even without upper motor neuron (UMN) signs. However, whether ALS patients with UMN signs (ALSwUMN) and those without (ALSwoUMN) share similar characteristics and prognoses remains unclear.
