Trust in Robot–Robot Scaffolding
The study of robot trust in humans and other agents is not explored widely despite its importance for the near future human-robot symbiotic societies. Here, we propose that robots should trust partners that tend to reduce their computational load, which is analogous to human cognitive load.

A Robot Referee for Robot Soccer [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to propose a robot referee for robot soccer. This idea is implemented using a service robot that moves along one of the field sides, uses its own cameras to analyze the game, and communicates its decisions to the human spectators using speech, and to the robot players using wireless communication.

A Monocular Vision Measurement System of Three-Degree-of-Freedom Air-Bearing Test-Bed Based on FCCSP
A monocular vision-based pose measurement system is provided for real-time measurement of a three-degree-of-freedom (3-DOF) air-bearing test-bed. Firstly, a circular plane cooperative target is designed. An image of a target fixed on the test-bed is then

Handover Control for Human-Robot and Robot-Robot Collaboration [PDF]
Modern scenarios in robotics involve human-robot collaboration or robot-robot cooperation in unstructured environments. In human-robot collaboration, the objective is to relieve humans from repetitive and wearing tasks. This is the case of a retail store, where the robot could help a clerk to refill a shelf or an elderly customer to pick an item from ...
